Pope Band CampI’m having a blast working with the flutes at Pope High School this week during band camp. Several of them were leaving an extra finger down for middle Eb. This was a fun reminder!

Congratulations are in order after results from auditions for the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra came out this morning. All three of my students auditioning were accepted – two into the Philharmonia (Shelby and Sophia), and one into Symphony (Hailey)! Congrats to all three of you – your hard work definitely paid off!

Welcome to The Marietta Flute Studio Emma, Isabell, Linnae, and Makenzie! I look forward to working with you this summer and hopefully beyond!

Congratulations to Hailey on her acceptance to the University of Georgia’s Summer Music Institute, where she will get to experience life as a music major for a week! Go Dawgs!

Madeline received the Director’s Award for the 7th grade at Barber Middle School this year, and also performed the exposition of Mozart’s Flute Concerto in G Major for the entire 8th grade as the final pass-off at her school. It was brilliant! Watch now!

Sophia auditioned successfully for Allatoona High School’s Symphonic Winds this spring, skipping from the Concert Band straight to the school’s top ensemble. Her practice time really showed!

Claire was selected to be a member of Harrison High School’s top group, the Wind Ensemble. She is also one of the flute section leaders for the 2018 marching band! Awesome job, Claire!

Merren was selected to be a member of Harrison High School’s second group, the Symphonic Band. Congratulations!
